Pantry Packs
Pantry Packs
Chair:
Amy Craig
Pantry Packs began when an educator at Evergreen Middle School in Redmond found that children were arriving to school hungry after weekends and holidays. The goal of this non-profit is keeping hungry kids fed. There are kids in our own community without enough food at home to keep their tummies full over the weekend. Pantry Packs provides a rolling backpack program. Every Friday, packs are filled with kid friendly food for the weekend. Kids (identified by school counselors) are able to take the packs home on Fridays, fill their cupboards, and return the packs on Monday to be re-filled for the next week.
