FALL 2018 - ENRICHMEMENT CLASSES

  Registration will begin Monday, September 10th and classes will be held September 24th – December 14th.

  -- All classes need 1-2 parent chaperones. If you volunteer to chaperone your child’s class, tuition will be FREE! Please, contact us at enrichment@agbellptsa.org  for more information. Due to liability issues, Chaperones must be PTSA members.

  -- Please send an extra snack on the After School Enrichment days! We'll give your child a chance to eat between the end of school and the beginning of the Enrichment class.

  ** Need–based scholarships are available. For more information about scholarships please contact chwinter@lwsd.org . Scholarship requests must be made before September 6th. **

At Sponge, we see language as a passport to global citizenship. Students learn to see the world through a different lens while acquiring language skills and the confidence to use them. Sponge classes are immersion based, and taught by a native speaker using games, art, songs, stories, drama and movement to help children build language skills! We believe the best way to learn a language is to be immersed in it and having fun.

 

OUTDOOR WILDERNESS

Welcome to the Fall term of Outdoor Wilderness where we will have a blast learning through adventure!  Join us as we turn AG Bell  into our own wilderness and learn valuable skills that will help students develop an appreciation for our natural world, empower them to work through adversity, and build leadership skills.  We'll play team building games and learn outdoor living skills like shelter building, leave-no-trace ethics, orienteering using maps and compasses, and how to make the perfect s'more!  We have great activities for all weather and will bring shelters to keep us dry on those rainy Seattle days like our Scandinavian tipi!  Please let us know if you need assistance with warm or waterproof clothing.  Seattle Adventure Sports has loaners we can provide.

 

BULLDOG PACERS RUNNING CLUB

AG Bell’s running club is back! Join Pacers for running and exercise! Kids will set their own goals, whether to improve their time in a sprint, complete a 5K with mom or dad, or rack up as many miles as a marathon.

In Drama club, students participate in a wide range of creative activities including speech, dramatic movement, improvisation, snippets and scene starters. In a fun-filled atmosphere, the classes aim to promote ongoing confidence, self-esteem and skill in verbal communication.

Make Your Mark is an after-school arts-based program designed to support the social and emotional growth of children through art-making. 

Students will meet weekly with Kirkland Arts Center Teaching artists to gain and strengthen their artistic skills while engaging in creative and fun projects that emphasize collaboration and communication, and foster empathy and growth mindset.
